Tender writing for trade firms

Frequently asked questions

What do you promise?

A bid that complies, follows the buyer's format and arrives when we said it would, or you get every pound back. The date is confirmed by email and the refund is part of the deal, so your week can be planned around it.

When should I send a tender?

The moment you spot it. Once the buyer's cut-off passes it can't be reopened, and a properly scored bid needs 10 working days. Early is easy; late closes the door.

What does it cost, all in?

£995 covers a standard below-threshold bid (around 5,000 words, or 8 quality questions): a £495 deposit to book and £500 before final delivery. Anything bigger is quoted up front, before any money moves.

When do I get money back?

Chapter and verse sits on our refunds page.

Who submits the bid?

You do, from your own account on the buyer's portal, once you've approved the final text. The final click is always yours.

How much notice do you need?

A minimum of 10 working days between your booking and the buyer's closing date. The completed bid comes back with 3 working days still on the clock, leaving room for a relaxed final read.

Do you work with sole traders?

Yes, along with partnerships and limited companies, as long as the order is for business use.

What happens to my documents?

They go into your bid and nowhere else. We keep them secure and share them only with the reviewer working on your bid, who is bound by a confidentiality and data-processing agreement. Everything is deleted 12 months after your last order, unless you'd like your answer library kept for next time. The privacy policy has the full picture.

How do I get in touch?

Send us an email and expect an answer within a working day.

Can you find contracts for me?

Yes. Firm Bids Leads goes out and finds the newest public contracts matching your line of work and region, then sends you the way in, at £29 a month or £290 a year. Leads Plus costs £49 monthly or £490 yearly and widens the net. See which plan fits.

Is there a free version?

Yes, a single one for each firm: three leads picked to suit your firm, minus the tender links. Claim yours. A subscription adds the links and the regular emails.

What does "Bid on this for me" do?

It's the shortcut from lead to finished bid. Press Bid on this for me – £995 on any lead that still has enough time and we get started.

How do I cancel Firm Bids Leads?

Whenever you like. Your leads keep coming until your paid term ends.
